My Passion!!

As a child I always admire the way my mom styled her hair and flawlessly applied her makeup. I naturally imagined doing the same years before I had been given the permission to do so. I have a passion for making things beautiful and bringing out the best in things. As I have grown into a mature woman I notice the lack to encourage woman of all colors and creeds to embrace our own natural beauty. I believe it is my duty to find ways to inspire women through leading by example and when given the opportunity showing and sharing ways they can to be fierce and fabulous. It is my belief that if we as women began to love our selves and appreciate our own unique abilities we can stop the self hate and the hate against one another. Today I accept my calling and step back into sharing my tips and style inspirations with woman near and far!! I am you and you are me and together we can be that beautiful fabulous change in the world!!

Black men and Hair and what they have to say!!!

Hey Ladies,

About a month ago I took to my facebook to pose a question to see what the response from the men would be and today I am sharing how and what they feel about us and how hair and out physical appearance so get ready its juicy!!!!!

Mr.Walden stated :Views on Black Women and their hair: My perspective is that I prefer natural hair. One the most intimate things for me as a man is to rub my hands through my woman's hairs. When a woman has weave or extensions it takes away that realness and intimateness. I feel Black women should be proud of their hair and learn to better accept and find more ways to make their hair work to their advantage as well as image. Black woman do do that now however in the wrong way. Many times I see black woman with weave and have anywhere from 1-5 colors in their hair. And who are black women trying to please or impress by wearing weave? As of father of two young half black daughters I tell them all the time about being proud of their because they sometimes talk about how "poofy" it is and how they want it straight. Be proud of your heritage and what you, and stop being concerned with what pleases others. Natural is the way to go.

Mr.Brooks stated: In my opinion, I love to see an African-American woman with the natural look. Most black men that I associate with prefer realness. No fake hair, fake boobs, fake nails, etc. Now if the nails are not all wild, long, and loud in color, then it may be cool. I may feel this way because my father never wanted my mom or sister's wearing such things. So I guess it was instilled in me early in age. I have done some reasearch myself and found that the majority of men looks at a woman's hair first believe it or not. More men prefer long over short no matter if its natural or not. But I think what attracts a real man to a real woman is Natural Beauty.

Mr.Baker Stated:
  • I think the black woman is the most beautiful thing on earth! Her hair sets her apart from all other women. It can be shaped formed or fitted to match her grace. That said, green, red blond ect... takes some of that grace away.

So the fellas have spoken ladies I hope you enjoy their feed back!!

Im Natural and My man Hates it!!

Hey Ladies,

I recently watched a video that was related to a a woman who decided to go natural and her man hated the new look. Ladies I personally have dealt with a male friend who by personal preference preferred longer relaxed hair and that is okay we are all entitled to our own opinions.

However, if a man shows more interest in your physical appearance than who you are as a person I would have to say that is a RED FLAG!!! that he is not the one.  Ladies to embrace on a journey such as this takes courage it requires you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace a new reality.

Self-Esteem and Confidence are the key ingredients in embracing the natural you. Many have suggested those who wear no weave or no makeup are considered the true Naturals but its is my opinion that being beautiful in the skin you are in and taking excellent care of the Mind, Body and Soul is what matters when trailing on this natural Journey!!

Ladies Remember some men are ignorant to what matters most and those are the ones you want to weed out and believe it or not there are some really great guys who are ready and willing to embrace and travel along with you on your Journey and that is the man after my own heart!!

FYI!! More men than you think actually prefer the natural curls, kinks, and coils. I find that more men than woman desire to touch and play in my hair so ladies no fretting there !!

I hope this inspires you that no matter what love yourself and anyone who doesn't love you past the physical is not worth the effort of the time!!

Yours Naturally,

Minah
