About My Brand

The BALD Movement was designed to support the self esteem of those who are BALD by force or choice. The goal is to show our women that hair is not a necessity for Beauty and showing them ways to embrace their baldness and discover the true beauty that lies withing us all. To learn more about the Bald Movement please visit www.TheBaldMovement.com Along with that I have designed an exclusive clothing line called BALD Apparel, Designed for those who are BALD by force or choice a way to rock their Bald with Style which I am currently working on new products for the line.

Curly Quest

As a child, I wasn’t accepted by my peers. I used to have a gap in my teeth, my skin was really dark, I was tall and skinny and not very developed. Dark skin wasn’t really favorable when I was in high school. I had acne. I was picked on. In other people’s eyes, I didn’t fit what beauty looked like. I decided instead of trying to conform to what other people say beauty is, I’m going to define my own beauty and I cut off all my hair. Never in my life had I heard so many people say "you beautiful" until I cut my hair. Through that, I gained a lot of confidence. And I realized that there are so many women out there who are bald by force because of an illness, and they don’t feel the way I feel; they don’t feel confident. So The Bald Movement is about teaching them to embrace their baldness.

My First Time Trimming My Natural Hair!!

Hey Ladies,

As you know in a few days it will mark my 11 month natural hair anniversary and I want to treat my self to a trim. I know many hate to hear the world trim or even let the term roll of their tongue but it is that time. My reasoning is due to a recent wash day situation.

So I washed and deep conditioned my hair and then proceeded to de tangle and chunky twist. I noticed I had quite a few loose ends that effected the ease of my detangling method at this point I am convinced its time I did a little ends trimming and dusting.

I have read that its completely safe to dust or trim your ends at least every 8 weeks or every couple of months. But one cannot simply just grab some scissors and trim away. You must first purchase some shears or scissors only made for hair trimming and only use them for hair trimming this will help prevent trimming with dull scissors which are known for splitting ends.

So I have made up in my mind that one day this week I am going to complete operation first trim.  There are several methods to trimming natural hair and I will be using the method of twist and snip. Twist and snip is when you twist your hair all over and snip the bad ends. Once I have thoroughly trimmed  I plan to detangle and style my hair and I will be observing for the next couple of weeks the effects of my trim with  regards to my ends and the ease of detangling my hair wish me luck ladies!!

Also feel free to share your stories on how you trim your hair in its natural state.

As always its a pleasure sharing and providing my journey with you I hope you enjoy! Feel free to subscribe and follow my blog again I thank you for the love and support!

 Chrisette Michelle states:
What Chrisette Michelle says about going natural :Do what’s best for you. What is your heart saying? Follow it. We are incredibly beautiful, us curly girls. Let’s be proud and supportive of each other. To be quite honest I’d have to say...are you ready for what I’m about to say? Ok... Don’t be one of those girls out there who have our beautiful curls but wear no smile, head is down, ain’t got no ...presence! Give it! Cat walk down the street! Rock that hair with the fiercest of outfits. This is not just a spiritual journey, it’s an incredible fashion statement that not everyone can wear! Treat it like a manicure or a new Prada bag and be the most amazing diva on your block. This beauty is fierce and it’s ours naturally! Let’s make each other proud! Amen?!

Team Natural We are Inspiration One to Another***

Hello Ladies ,

I have to admit that it has been a true pleasure to journey and share my natural hair story with you. Over the past few months I have come to find that we in our own right have a unique and individual story and it is worth sharing I have found that we all are motivated by the growth and progress we have achieved and that of our biggest hair idols.

I  found that even sharing product reviews and product suggestions is a big motivator and tool of mine. I  feel that in this journey we have to be open and willing to try because mastering our natural tresses is a skill to be obtained. I enjoy sharing my tip and regimes as well as receiving  new tips and suggestions daily.

I feel that the bond shared through naturals is actually cool because we get to laugh and share our hair ups and downs. It is great to see how we as sisters and women of ethic backgrounds have come together and found a common ground that we all share and that is simply our love for ourselves and our beautiful unique hair.

Again I am taking this moment to say Team Naturals together we are Inspiration to one another let us share in this journey!!

Wishing  You Season Greetings!!!!!!
