Hey Ladies,
It has been a while but I thought I would come with a hair update. I have had alot of growth in the last 12 months and I now find myself learning to adjust to my new lengths and maintaining my texture and curls. With this new length and added responsibility I am trying to be as gentle as possible all while obtaining the maximum style options!!
My latest discovery has been the banding method!! Yes I said it I have been using bands to stretch my strands!! It works too!
Are you like me you have length but your hair love to skrink once it dries. If the answer to that question is yes I have a new hair trick for you and it call Bands will stretch my strands!!!!
All you have to do is go to your local dollar store or walmart and purchase some ouchless or stretch hair bands and make little pony tails!!
Yes that is all add a little water just a little to make hair damp, a dollop of leave in conditioner and your oil of choice to seal ends and band your hair up.
I like to do this at night before bed this give my hair ideal time to dry and stretch while I'm sleep and when I wake up I have full big and stretched out hair!!!
Wow that easy who knew!!

Confidence Is your Best Assessory!!!! (Wear It)
Hey Ladies,
I am writing you to speak on the topic of confidence. In today's society we constantly see images of beauty and how to be attractive but many fail to acknowledge and put special emphasis on exuding confidence.
Confidence defined- is having or showing assurance and self-reliance
Today you find many forms of beauty and ways to make our selves more appealing but what happens when you take away all the superficials items. I have discovered while on my natural journey that my confidence and ability to trust myself has been my best assessory. Many times a person with much confidence may not be the ideal candidate or even the best person for the job but because they had confidence and assured trust in one's ability they were given the opportunity or even looked upon as more favorable or attractive.
Many women today battle with the issue of being beautiful and ideal in the eye of our male counterparts. I have discovered that the most attractive asset in the eyes of a mature man is confidence. Many times I have found myself in situations where I had to go into a situation knowing that I looked my best and that I was just a great as my opponents.
I believe that Confidence is something that comes from within no one can give you this asset. Confidence is an ability to trust one's instinct and go out into the world giving your best and knowing that you are good enough.
Confidence is the ability to transfer your energy and set the thermostat or temperature in a place simply by showing up and being just who you are!!
Today ladies I want to encourage you to walk with your chest out, head up and smile. Ladies do not be afraid to put on your best outfit, do your makeup, and dab some lip stick on for flair. Whatever you do I encourage you to think big and say to yourself I am good enough and today I will set the pace the energy I give off is high and positive energy. When I walk into a room the temperature goes up!!
I hope this message encourages you and uplifts you today!!
Blessings,
Minah

Take Me As I Am(Essence Mag May 2012) And my own words!!
As a woman who was raised and surrounded by confident beauty I was always taught to embraced who I am am always treat my self with the best care because no one else will love me like first God and second myself. As women I realize we sometimes get thrown off from self apprecation and the most important thing we can do is get back to ourselves.
As I have grown and matured I have developed a confidence about myself from the inside out and with this self acceptance. I wake up and leave my home knowing that God is please and so am I. Mary mentioned in this article that too many times we seek love and props from men and those around us but we fail to seek it from within. Mary stated that she never really realized how beautiful she was until she heard and saw God show her and she said soon after she began to affirm and believe from her whole heart that she was beautiful. Mary stated that once she began to feel it she also began to show it and others around her caught the buzz. And before she knew it everywhere she went there was something about Mary.
Today I write to encourage you to seek out what your purpose in life is and work to acheive it and get there. I ask that you forgive your past and embrace the future and accept all of who you are because we all have a story and we all are unique but to be a Black woman we the best of them all. I encourage you to spend time affirming who you are, where you are going, and what you will have.
Take me as I am because that is the only way you can truly know me and understand who I am. As Black women society has tried to tell us how to look, how to dress, and how to be. Society has even attacked our fate and we as sisters have to embraced who we are and fight back with living proof that no matter what you throw at us we always overcome so to day I say Take me as I am because I am somebody great.
